What sets me apart? Hard work and lots of experience. Hi, I’m Jeff Avery, a State Farm agent in Redding, CA, also serving my neighbors with insurance protection throughout Shasta County, including Anderson, Shasta Lake, Palo Cedro, Cottonwood, Happy Valley, Bella Vista, Shasta, Shingletown, Millville and Dunsmuir. I’ve been in the State Farm family for 38 years, with the first 15 of those spent working in claims management. It gave me on-the-ground experience helping people who had losses, and I learned quickly about insurance products and plans that could help people get back on their feet. Becoming an agent seemed like a natural next step, since I felt driven to share my experience and help customers protect what matters most to them.

My friendly, professional staff and I love talking to customers, and we go out of our way to make sure they feel valued and cared for. We take time to get to know you and answer your questions, so we can find insurance policies and options that provide a great fit. Many of my customers have chosen to stay with us for many years because of our excellent service. I was honored when State Farm recognized my office for our commitment to service and performance with the Legion of Honor Agent and Life Ambassador award.

Outside the office, I’m an outdoorsy kind of guy. My family and I love to hike and get out into all the beautiful nature around us. I’m also passionate about giving back to the community. I’ve served on multiple community service boards for a variety of causes, including local hospitals, youth and veteran organizations, and others like the Redding Rotary Club, Red Cross and the United Way.

Whether you’re buying insurance for the first time or need a fresh look at your current insurance plan, my office can help. We offer auto insurance, motorcycle Insurance, life insurance, health insurance and pet insurance. Get in touch with us today for a complimentary Personal Price Plan.

Life insurance is an important aspect of financial services, and we're here to help you navigate your options. We understand that life can be unpredictable, and we want to make sure that you and your loved ones are protected no matter what. Whether you're looking for term life insurance or other life insurance, our team can help you find the right policy to fit your needs.

Having emergency kit supplies prepared may give you the resources you and your family need to stay safe:

A catastrophe or emergency could leave you without power and/or help for several days, so take the steps to be prepared with an emergency kit. The basics of any emergency kit should include water and food.

The American Red Cross recommends one gallon of water per person, per day and recommends a three-day supply for evacuations a two-week supply for sheltering at home.

Non-perishable, easy-to-prepare foods that your family is willing to eat should go into your kit. When preparing a kit, consider:

  • Canned meats, fruits and vegetables

  • Pasteurized milk and fruit juices

  • Protein or fruit bars

  • Dry cereal or granola

  • Peanut butter

  • Dried fruit

  • High energy food like canned lentils, canned beans or crackers

  • Comfort foods

Additional items for a basic survival kit include:

  • A first-aid kit

  • Medications including a seven-day supply of all prescription medication everyone in the household may need.

  • Equipment such as a battery-powered radio, flashlight, extra batteries, can opener, duct tape, a whistle, cellphone chargers, extra cash, blankets or sleeping bags.

  • Documents can also be vital to have in an emergency including copies of personal documents such as medication lists and pertinent medical information, proof of address, passports or other forms of ID and copies of birth certificates and insurance policies.
